What Caused the Titanic to Sink?
Four days after the Titanic began her maiden voyage, she sank. At 11:40 PM, on the night of April 14, 1912; the Titanic struck an iceberg. Shortly after, icy water poured into the ship and the ship began its descend into the deep sea. The ship sunk two hours and forty minutes after the collision. Due to the temperate of the water - an unimaginable 4 degrees below freezing - and the low number of lifeboats, many people died. In total: 1,522 passengers and crew members lost their lives.
